The Sons Under Investigation for “Trafficking of Narcotics” in England; Tirana Prosecution Office Confiscates Unjustified Assets from the Parents

Tirana Prosecution Office has confiscated the assets belonging to citizens R.D. and Gj.D. in conformity with Law No. 10192, “On prevention and striking at organised crime, trafficking and corruption through preventive measures against assets”.

Through financial analysis, it was unveiled that the subjects under investigation lacked the legitimate means to accumulate savings, which were used as the source of investment for acquiring the assets. The court accepted the prosecution’s request,  and  issued a decision on March 13, 2024, ordering the confiscation of the following properties:

-An apartment, spanning an area of 103.20 m2 on Aleksander Moisiu Street, Tirana;

-An apartment, spanning an area of 100 m2 on Aleksandër Moisiu Street, Tirana;

-Garage, spanning an area of 17.20 m2 on Aleksandër Moisiu Street, Tirana; and

-Garage, with an area of 17.40 m2 also located on Aleksandër Moisiu Street, Tirana.

These assets were confiscated and transferred to state ownership following an investigation that revealed their sons, citizens V.D. and S.D., to be  involved in criminal narcotic trafficking activities commited in complicity.
The above-mentioned assets were generated during and after the period of the criminal activity, and their value does not align with the level of declared lawful income, profits, or activities, nor is there adequate justification for their acquisition.

The two sons are suspected for the criminal offense of "Trafficking of Narcotics” committed in complicity, as stipulated in Article 283/a of the Criminal Code, committed abroad (in England).
