Fraudulent legalization of a four-story building, Saranda Prosecution Office takes to the court the former director of SCA (State Cadaster Agency) and two specialists for 'Abuse of Office'.

After concluding months’extensive investigations, Saranda Prosecution Office has formally accused former SCA (State Cadaster Agency) director, A.D. of the criminal offence 'Abuse of Office' as stipulated in Article 248 of the Criminal Code.
Similarly, charges have been brought against two former SCA specialists, E.S. and E.L. for their complicity in facilitating the illegal legalization of a four-story structure, in favor of a citizen who used counterfeit documents.
In response to the prosecution's request, the court, through decision no. 113 dated 13.5.2024, has imposed the security measure of 'House arrest' upon the accused, meanwhile because of her status as a 'mother with a child under three years old', the former ASHK director has been subjected to the security measures of “Duty to appear before the judicial police officer” and 'prohibition on leaving the country'.

Furthermore, the individual identified as G.H. who is suspected of illicitly benefiting from the fraudulent legalization process, has also been placed under 'house arrest' as a precautionary measure.
The illegal actions perpetrated by these individuals have led to the alienation of a property, including land spanning 1000 square meters and a four-story building, with 1359 square meters designated for residential use and an additional 1056 square meters designated for socio-economic activities.

This building had been leased for several years by its rightful owners to a well-known commercial entity operating nationwide, an activity that continued even during the period when the illegal legalization procedures were being conducted.
Saranda Prosecution Office, in collaboration with the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, is pursuing further investigations into additional facts of misconduct involving local officials and their abuse of state responsibilities.
