General Prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla meets the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of France, Jean Claud Marin

General Prosecutor of Albania, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, attended a meeting in Paris with his counterpart, the General Prosecutor of the Republic of France, Mr. Jean Claud Marin, where there were discussed the cooperation between both countries for the fight against organized, financial crimes and terrorism.

Mr. Llalla updated his counterpart with the efforts of the Albanian authorities in the fight against crime and corruption, while he underlined the justice reform which is now under discussion in Albania and the French government’s assistance in this is necessary and welcomed. Regarding the fight against corruption, the interlocutors stressed the importance of applying new methods and technologies to succeed further in putting before justice officials that abuse. General Prosecutor of France guaranteed Mr. Llalla that will continue to be supportive in the Albanian prosecution office's activity in this direction.

The discussion between the two counterparts also focused on measures taken in the fight against terrorism, especially after severe events occurring in Paris in November 2015. Mr. Llalla guaranteed the General Prosecutor of France, Mr. Martin that Albania and Albanian judicial authorities will continue to be seriously engaged in the global fighting against terror.
In addition, the interlocutors expressed their common position for the intensification of relations in terms of facing the challenge of international organized crime, where the main focus consists in financial investigations.

Meeting of Mr. Llalla, with his counterpart, Mr. Jean Claude Marin was preceded by discussions with other senior representatives of criminal justice in France, where the main focus was the investigation in the fight against corruption.
