Albania - Kosovo, cooperation between justice authorities in tackling down the criminal activity
Tirana, 05 October 2021. The General Prosecutor of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Olsian Çela received, today, the delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kosovo, headed by the Minister of Justice, Mrs. Albulena Haxhiu, that is paying an official visit to Tirana.
The General Prosecutor appraised the so far cooperation by emphasizing the increase of efficacy regarding the mutual legal assistance between the two countries. Both parties assessed the need to intensify the cooperation between judicial authorities in tackling down the criminal activities.
Both personalities paid a special attention to the progress of the justice reform, discussing on the achievements and challenges that the Albanian and Kosovo prosecution system have to cope, at a time when the justice reform and the vetting process is a priority for both countries.
They interlocutors shared the same opinion regarding the use of all existing structures and international instruments of the mutual assistance, both countries will be able to response to the challenges of the fight against criminality not only on both sides of the border but also at the regional and global level.
