The Prosecution Office at Korça Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction has concluded the investigations into criminal case no. 880 of the year 2020, against the defendants E.D. and L.K. accused of committing the criminal offence of "Laundering the proceeds of a criminal offence or criminal activity" committed in complicity as provided for in Article 287/2 of the Criminal Code.
The investigations revealed that the defendant E.D has committed criminal activity related to the possession, sale, and trafficking of narcotics, also confirmed by his prior conviction for the criminal offence "Production and sale of narcotics" as provided for in Article 283 of the Criminal Code, as well as his arrest by German federal police for the criminal offence "Trafficking of narcotics."

Arising out of this criminal activity, the defendant has accumulated considerable wealth, which he concealed by converting it into real estate, specifically a three-story building located on "Naum Kristo Voskopoja" street, Korçë. According to the expert report dated 9.1.2023, the market value of this property is ALL 30,550,000. This property is concealed under the name of the citizen L.K., who along with her sister F.M. has the total of ALL 4,999,042 as savings from legitimate income. Therefore, the value of the real estate is not justified by the formal owner’s income. The citizen L.K. holds ownership of a building area encompassing 182 m2 and 147 m2 plot of land, she also possesses the entity 'Linja 150' under her name.

The laundering of proceeds from the criminal activities of the defendant E.D. was committed with the assistance of the defendant L.K., who has registered the real estate under her name and, through a loan agreement, handed it over to the citizen E.M., who is the cohabitant of the defendant. 
E.D. is also a co-owner of a property spanning 51.9 m2, the owner of a Toyota Rav 4 vehicle, and has ownership of two other vehicles. Meanwhile, the citizen E.M. (the cohabitant) owns an apartment purchased for 50,000 euros and a BMW vehicle valued at 20,000 euros. It is suspected that these assets were invested by citizen E.D."
