Based on the referral of the Regional Directorate of the Tirana Police Surveillance Agency, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana has registered criminal proceedings No. 7671/2022, for the criminal offense of "Committing arbitrary actions" and "Failure to provide assistance", provided for by Articles 250 and 290 of the Criminal Code.

Until this stage of the investigation, the medical record of the citizen Lear Kurti, the minutes of the examination of the corpse, the film footage recorded by the security cameras from the moment of the finding until he was sent for medical help to the University Trauma Hospital Center have been administered. In addition, the citizens who were present with the victim and all the police officers who carried out actions with the citizen Lear Kurti were asked in the capacity of the persons who show the circumstances of the investigation.

In the same way, the act of chemical expertise performed by a group of 5 (five) experts was administered, from which it was found that in the remains of the bag found in the victim's stomach during the autopsy, there is the presence of the narcotic substance cocaine.

Following other actions, the investigative group, with the aim of evidencing all the circumstances and causes of the death of citizen Lear Kurti, will administer the footage of the emergency at the Trauma Hospital Center, the interrogation of the nursing/medical personnel who accepted and dealt with the treatment of the citizen Lear Kurti as well as any other action for the complete disclosure of this event.
