Press Release

The prosecution demads the confiscation of assests of the two brothers being arrested in Spain for human trafficking.

The prosecution at Tirana District Court demands the confiscation of the assets of the two brothers A.L. and O. L. detained on remand in 2018 in Spain for trafficking human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
The citizen A.L. was arrested for the criminal offence "Trafficking in adult persons" committed in complicity provided in article 110/a of the Criminal Code, while the citizen O.L. is under investigations for the same criminal offense by the Spanish police authorities.

Out of the investigations that Tirana prosecution performed, it comes out that the citizens A.L. and O.L. have been involved in the criminal activity of the production and sale of narcotics since 2018. They have created their assets during and after the period of their criminal activity and the value of these assets, apparently, does not correspond to the level of declared income, profits or legal activities, and are not even justified by them.

The prosecution estimates that the two brothers and their family are financially unable to justify the assets  and demands the confiscation and transfer of the following properties to the state:

- An apartment with a surface area of  80.90 m2 in Tirana and
- a vehicle Audi A6.
Tirana Enforcement Offices are in charge of the execution of this decision, while the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets at the Ministry of the Interior is in charge of the administration and use of the assets.
