Tirana Prosecution Office seeks the confiscation of the assets belonging to citizen A.K., as it was verified that the asset subject to the confiscation request has no legitimate origin and it was proven to be created during criminal activity. 
On December 27, 2022, this prosecutin office, based on the material submitted by Tirana Police Commissariat No.2, registered the criminal proceeding no.9220 concerning the criminal offense of "Theft" as provided for in Article 134/3 of the Criminal Code. From the investigation acts, it came out that on December 15, 2022, around 14:10, the Police Operational Room in Tirana was notified that at "Kosovareve" Street, in the "Orion" building, it was stolen the apartment belonging to citizen A.K..
On January 6, 2023, during a search of the apartment belonging to R.D. and H.D., the perpetrators of the theft, authorities discovered and confiscated €58,150 (fifty-eight thousand one hundred fifty euros) as material evidence. Additionally, on January 7, 2023, at 19:30, judicial police seized an additional amount of €404,800 (four hundred four thousand eight hundred euros) from the same apartment.
The criminal investigation confirmed that the money and euros/dollars currency seized in the apartment of citizens R.D. and H.D. were stolen from the apartment of citizen A.K. 
Furthermore, A.K. faces charges for the criminal offense of " Refusal for declaration, non-declaration, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public employees, or of any other person that is legally binding for the declaration," as stipulated in Article 257/a/2 of the Criminal Code and a on October 9, 2023, a request for judgement was submitted. 
Regarding the above, the prosecution office has concluded that the sum of money seized in the apartment of R.D. as well as the apartment and the garage purchased in 2019 by her ex-husband A.K. are concealed and have not been declared in High Inspectorate of the Declaration and Control of Wealth and Conflict of Interest (ILDKPKI). These assets lack justification as they cannot be traced back to lawful sources of income. Until they are officially declared, their legality remains unproven and questionable.
Under these circumstances, and within the stipulated six-month timeframe, Tirana Prosecution Office submits the request for confiscation and transfer of the following assets into state ownership:
• Monetary sum of 368,000.00 (three hundred sixty-eight thousand) Lek, 15,600.00 (fifteen thousand six hundred) US dollars, 462,950.00 (four hundred sixty-two thousand nine hundred fifty) Euros, confiscated under criminal proceedings no. 9220/2022 and deposited in the Prosecution’s account at "Credins Bank" according to the respective mandates dated January 10, 2023;
• Apartment with a usable area of 85.09 m2 with property number 6/572+1-35, ZK 8210, Vol. 42, Pg 127, located in Tirana, belonging to citizen A.K.;
• Garage with a usable area of 14.06 m2 with property number 6/572-G 16 ZK 8210, Vol 42, Pg 74 located in Tirana, belonging to citizen A.K.;
• Toyota Rav 4 car, with license plate AA170ZY, Chassis number JTMBB31V50D109772, belonging to citizen A.K.
