General Prosecutor's Office, with the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Finance, signed a Cooperation Agreement to fight informal economy.

General prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, has decided to strengthen the human capacity at the Anti-Corruption Unit at the Prosecution Office for Serious Crime, as a way to cope with the influx of criminal proceedings in this structure.

General Prosecutor's Office requires, by the Parliament, the authorization to arrest the citizen Armando Prenga, with the function of “Deputy”, suspected of committing the offenses; “Illegal manufacturing and keeping military weapons and ammunition”, “Serious intentional injury” and “Threat”, provided by Articles 278/4, 88, 84 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes, pursuant to the "Anti-mafia" law has decided seizure of over 11 thousand square meters and buildings, including businesses, as well as about 15,300 square meters of agricultural land registered in the name of citizens DASHAMIR Gjoka, from Shijak, Durres, prosecuted for "Laundering of proceeds of crime". Initially, the Prosecution Office has received the approval of the Court for Serious Crimes to set preventive seizure to these assets.

Albanian Prosecution Office, in compliance with institutional priorities, in the first 6 months of 2015 has significantly increased its investigative activities in combating corruption, abuse of office and illegal trafficking, including fighting of criminal structures. Based on statistical analysis, compared with the first six months of 2014, during the period January-June 2015, inter alia, the following data were recorded:

Prosecution Office is part of a Memorandum of Cooperation to make a full investigation of forging documents of properties, together with the Property Restitution and Compensation Agency, State Police and State Advocacy.

Prosecution Office of Tirana, with the permission of the court, sequester 60 % of the shares of the companies “Agonset”, “Energji”, “Cable System” “400KV”, “Fuqi”, as well as blocks their bank accounts in different banks, all administered by Francesco Beccheti, Liliana Condomitti, Mauro de Renzis and Erjona Troplini, who are suspected of being involved in a huge money laundering scheme amounting to millions of euros.

At least nine people, four of whom are officials of the Regional Directorate of Security Fund Mandatory Health Tirana and five leading pharmacy in the capital, were identified at that stage of the investigation as suspects for the creation of a huge fraud scheme reimbursement of medicines, that based on a preliminary assessment, the state has caused damage around 56 million ALL.
