A group of 10 prosecutors from Gjirokastra, Fier, Përmeti and General Prosecution Office completed the investigation and send for trial the third group of persons from Lazarat. Total number of defendants goes to 86 nationals

The Judicial Prosecution Office of Gjirokastra District sends for trial 30 nationals, accused of being involved in illegal activities by cultivating, producing and selling narcotics in the area of Lazarat provided by Article 283/1/2, 284/1, 278/2/3, 280, 236, 197 and 236 of the Criminal Code. This is the third group of persons for whom the Prosecution Office of Gjirokastra District has completed the investigations and the total number of defendants sent for trial has reached 86 citizens.

The investigation dossier of Lazarat includes a wide group of prosecutors, of which 5 of them are from the Judicial Prosecution Office of Gjirokastra District, two prosecutors attached to her by the Judicial Prosecution Office of Permet and Fier District, as well as the coordination of 3 prosecutors of the General Prosecution. So, in total, only for the Prosecution Office of Gjirokastra District for the investigation of persons involved in the offenses related to narcotics in the area of Lazarat, were engaged 10 prosecutors.

The citizens, who are sent for trial from the Prosecution Office of Gjirokatra District, are investigated by these security measures: 13 persons with "detention"; 7 people with "detention" in absentia; 8 people in "free state" detention; and 2 persons with the security measure of "obligatory presence".

Meanwhile, for all the defendants, the Judicial Prosecution Office of Gjirokastra District is making investigations also for the offense of "Laundering of the proceeds of crime".
