At least 45 candidates, mostly judicial police officers, were included on Thursday (dt. 29.10.2015) at the testing for new prosecutors, who will fill 9 vacancies on some Prosecution Offices of basic level.

Testing for recruitment of the new prosecution has two stages. In the first stage, the competitors are subject to a written theory test, a process administered by a Special Committee, composed by prosecutors who have finished the School of Magistrates. At the end, candidates who get more points will hold a hearing before the Council of Prosecution Office, a process which will take place on Friday (dt. 30.10.2015). at the end of the two stages of testing, the Council of Prosecution Office will present to the General prosecutor’s Office the list of candidates who get the most points, a list which will be forwarded to the President of the Republic for enactment.

Shortly before the start of the theoretical test, which took place at the Prosecution office of Tirana, the candidates were greeted by the Prosecutor General, Mr. Adriatik Llalla.
The General Prosecutor, wishing success to all candidates, found that the number of competitors was high and this, according to Mr. Llalla, “proves that the competition will be tough. Many of you have a long professional experience in investigation and I believe you will be able to present your skills also in a higher professional stage, that of the prosecutor”.
Regarding the testing, Mr. Llalla sai

 that “it is based in the respective Instruction of the General Prosecutor, for which is given preliminarily the consent of the Council of Prosecution Office. In our assessment, but also of the international partners who have assisted in the drafting of the Instruction, this is the best way possible to recruit in the Albanian Prosecution Office the most capable individuals”.

At the conclusion of his speech, Mr. Llalla said to the competitors that, “I want to assure you that, at the end of this testing, prosecutor will only make your abilities. The only criterion, by the organizations of testing and General Prosecutor’s Office, for the recruitment of the new prosecutors is the individual skills of every one of you.”

Testing takes place for the vacancies in the Judicial District Prosecution Office of Dibër, Sarandë, Mat, Pukë, Tropojë, Kurbin, Gjirokastër, Kukës dhe Krujë.
