Structure

Mr. Thoma Jano was elected Deputy General Prosecutor of the Republic of Albania in December 2019. He holds the position of the Chief of Electronic Communications Interception Sector since 2006. 
Mr. Jano has started his career in the Albanian justice system since 1976. He has had leading positions in the prosecution of general jurisdiction with a prominent contribution in the fight against organized crime and trafficking. 

During 2002-2004, Mr. Jano has exercised the duty of Deputy Minister of Public Order. 
Mr. Jano graduated as a lawyer from, Law Department at the Faculty of Political and Legal Sciences of the University of Tirana and graduated from the High School of the Ministry of Interior. 
During his career, he has completed different training and qualification programs at home and abroad in the most important partner institutions. 

Mr. Jano has several years of academic experience at the School of Magistrates, he is the author of many training programs and manuals for judicial police officers and prosecutors on methods of applying special means of investigation against organized crime and judicial police relations with the prosecution.
